How do I draw a flanged ellipse?

I want to cut out a ring that is an ellipse. But I cannot figure out how to change the entry points to an internal entry for the inside, and an external entry for the outside. Any help?

Hi Matt,

Are you using FastCAM? If so, you may want to change your FastPATH settings to change the plate type if you want to change the externals to internals:

/wAAAABJRU5ErkJggg==


You could also try manually adjusting the Entry points using Move Entry Position:

/CgriKa1MWq8AAAAASUVORK5CYII=

Also to help draw the ellipse, I would recommend having a look at the Constructs > Ellipse option.

Thank you, Alex. I actually figured it out, about 10 min after I posted this question. haha Im new to this and teaching myself, so its a learning process. Next up is trying to figure out how to draw gears.

Thank you so much. This looks to be extremely helpful. It should be able to steer me in the direction I'm headed. I am designing and drawing a ratchet style gear.
