Hi,

After I save my nest (Nests > Save Nest), when I try to use the "Retrieve Nest" option nothing happens; I select my .NST file from the folder where I just saved but the program goes back to the file selection screen. What can I do?

Hi Adriano,

From what you have described, it is tough to say where the problem might be.

Could you please send a service email with the nest loaded for me?

If you are trying to save a nest where you have already output code, there is potential that the parts are not being saved, as they have already been cut (from the program's perspective)

I got an error when trying to use the service mail option, I attached an image with the error message.

One thing that I realized when I try to retrieve the nests it that some files work and some don't.

The file with the description "NST PERFIL VERSION 5.50" doesn't work, but the file the description "NST LAYOUT VERSION 5.50" it does work. I attached the images so you can see.

Hi Adriano,

Thanks for the images, they helped quite a bit, especially the error. It looks like FastNEST is trying to use the Virtual Store there, which it shouldn't be doing by default. I would recommend going through this guide:

http://response.fastcam.com/knowledge-base/article/user-account-control-uac-and-fastcam

It will show you how to disable the UAC, clear your Virtual Store for FastCAM, and how to stop FastCAM using the Virtual Store.

I have the UAC disabled and there's no FASTCAM folder inside the Virtual Store folder, still, I'm getting the same error. What else can I do?

Hi Adriano,

Can you please have a look at the service email guide again, on the last page it says how to send the service email when the module isn't working and what files are needed. Can you please include the two .NST files, and all files required by these nests. You can send them directly to me:

alex.fagan@fastcam.com.au
