Overview: Reviewing the FastCAM View/Verify and Dimensioning Tabs
1.View/Verify Tab
Begin by navigating to the View/Verify tab. Below is a breakdown of each function available in this section:
2. Zoom Tools
- Zoom Window: Click to activate, then left-click and hold to drag a selection box over the area you wish to zoom in on.

- Zoom to Centre: Allows you to center the view on a specific point. An optional scale value can also be entered. This is particularly useful for large, detailed drawings.

- Enter Centre: Enter an absolute X, Y coordinate to set the center point of the view.

- Zoom In: Zooms in on the drawing using a defined zoom factor, ideal for viewing intricate details.

- Zoom Out: Zooms out to provide a broader view of the drawing.

- Zoom AutoScale: Automatically adjusts the view to fit the entire drawing within the screen.

- Refresh: Repaints the current screen image. Useful after editing to resolve display issues such as leftover gaps from deleted or trimmed entities.

- Zoom Previous: Returns to the previous zoom level and view.

- Windows: Allows users to save specific screen areas and toggle between them. Helpful when working on detailed sections of complex drawings.

3. Entity Analysis Tools
- Identify: Select this tool and click on any entity in the drawing to view its properties and related information.

- Distance: Measures and verifies the distance between any two selected control points.

- Angle: Select two line entities to determine the angle between them.

- Contour: Verifies connected entities that form a contour. Displays total contour length and confirms whether it is closed.

- Show Entity: Highlights and identifies a specific entity within the drawing.-

- Show Parts: Identifies separate parts within a multi-part drawing or nested layout.

- Show Parts & Holes: Debugging tool that identifies internal and external paths within complex parts, especially those with multiple holes.

- Show Common Cuts/Lines: Verifies shared cuts between adjacent parts (Common Cuts) within a nest

- List of Entities: Advanced debugging tool. Provides a detailed list of all entities in the drawing, categorized by type (Arcs, Lines, and Points).

4. Dimensioning Tab
Next, proceed to the Dimensioning tab to review the available dimensioning tools:
Add Dimensions
- Add Parallel: Select control points at each end of an entity. You will then be prompted to specify the position of the dimension line on the screen.

- Add X: Displays the horizontal (X-axis) distance between selected points, regardless of line angle.

- Add Y: Displays the vertical (Y-axis) distance between selected points, regardless of line angle.

- Add X & Y: Adds both horizontal and vertical dimensions between selected points.

- Add Arc: Adds a radius dimension to a selected arc or circle. A yellow marker indicates the arc center.

Remove Dimensions
- Remove One: Deletes the selected dimension from the drawing.

- Remove All: Deletes all dimensions from the drawing

Auto-Dimensioning
- Auto Dimensions: Automatically applies logical dimensions to the part.
