Need Answer

I recently adjusted my kerf settings in fastcam and it fixed my problem with my plates being undersize not they are the right size but it made my holes smaller and off centre. Also my holes look more like an oval rather than a circle.... How do I adgust this?

Hi Nickolas,

Are you cutting with Plasma and are you facing these issues cutting small holes?

For small holes you can consider slowing down the cutting feedrate.

Are you programming feedrates into your NC programs?

You can use FastPATH - specials tab - and set parameters to trigger feedrate slowdown against hole size.

If you're not currently programming with feedrates, then I would suggest making a service email with one of your parts. See this guide on how to make a service email

http://response.fastcam.com/knowledge-base/article/ho-do-i-send-a-service-email

From this we can adjust your POST PROCESSOR to include feedrates and double check the part you're working with.

Thank you for getting back to me... Yes I am cutting cleats or plates out with a plazma. So originaly all my plates would be 3mm undersize and the holes the right size and shape... I enter the kerf settings set out by fast cam and my plates become the right size but my holes are off set to one side and the hole becomes 2mm in diameter undersize... Also I tried to do a service email but even though the language is set to english the prompts are in a foreign language and I cant understand the prompts

With attachment, it may've gone into spam folder.

let me know if you still can't locate it, we will use another option.
