When trying to cut a slot in a piece of plate, it is only cutting the sides and skipping the radius portion of the slot

Without seeing the part it is hard to say. But at a guess, it sounds like you have a part closure problem, or perhaps a pathing issue. To check the part closure, I would recommend check the guide here:

For Pathing, are you manually pathing or are you using the automatic pathing when outputting from FastCAM?
