I need someone to help me with setting in fastcam
Answered
Hello can someone helping me with settings for clean cut in fastcam..? i use this program for my CNC Machine but .. i think i make something wrong.. because my machine cut bad.. please someone help me...
Hi Adrian,
It really depends on your machine. FastCAM can only impact the types of lead ins and sometimes the feedrate. The cut quality is also impacted by:
-Shield Gas
-Gas Pressure
-Amperage
-Feedrate
The last one we MAY control in your Post but it is dependent.
Generally, if you are having trouble, slow the cut down and see how you do. Cut a known shape, like a 100x 100 mm square with a hole in it as a test and then work from there. Changing settings until you get a cut quality you are happy with. It can be a bit of trial and error.
Ontop of this, you can often find suggested settings in your Torch's handbook, which should give you a guide on what settings to use
Hope that helps!

Hi Adrian,
Yep, it can be a process of trial and error when trying to find the right settings. I would again suggest using the Torch handbook's settings as a base and working from there.
Hope that helps
Cheers,
Alex
